KEARNY, N.J. (WPIX) - Police were able to identify a would-be-robber after he left behind some key evidence -- including his wallet, mother and son.
Charles "Fat Chubby" Boxton, 47, allegedly tried to swipe a DVD from a ShopRite on Passaic Ave. around 1:15 p.m Tuesday. After security guards busted Boxton in the act, they brought him to the store's security office to interrogate him, police said.

When guards told Boxton they were going to call police, he pulled out a black mm handgun and fled the building.
In his haste to leave, police say Boxton left his wallet in the security office and his mother and 17-year-old son at the store. In addition, authorities say they have images of Boxton attempting to pocket the DVD on surveillance tape.
Police later recovered the white 1999 Ford Contour in which Boxton fled in.
Authorities issued a warrant for his arrest on Tuesday.

Boxton, who has reportedly used the nickname Chuck Curry in the past, has a prior rap sheet and has spent 11 of the past 17 years in state prison, according do the New Jersey Department of Correction's website.
In the past, he has been charged with crimes, including receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.
