HOPE MILLS - A Hope Mills man is charged with peeping into apartments last week.
Willie J. Leggett, 55, of the 5800 block of Rockfish Road, was charged Tuesday with three counts of secret peeping. Bail was set at $1,500.
The incidents occurred in the Village Green Apartments off Rockfish Road. Police reports said Leggett was walking around the community looking into apartment windows at 6:50 a.m. on March 29.
Hope Mills Police Chief Robert Hassell held a news conference Thursday to alert the public after another series of peeping incidents occurred that morning in the Fairway Forest subdivision off Blackbridge Road. Police are still investigating those incidents.
