15 year old girl wrestles a knife and stabs Kevin Wills before he can assult her.

Police say a 15-year-old girl escaped from a knife-wielding assailant in New Haven by wrestling the knife from him, then stabbing him.

Police said Kevin Wills of New Haven grabbed the victim as she walked to a friend's house at about 1 a.m. Saturday. They say he tried to drag her into a vacant home while threatening to kill her.

But police say the girl fought back, then stabbed him after she got the knife.

The 41-year-old Wills was arrested after he went to a local hospital for treatment.

Wills faces charges including first-degree kidnapping and second-degree assault. He's being held on $500,000 bond and is expected in court this week.

The girl was treated at a local hospital and released.

Serves him right. Now, why would a 15 year old be walking to a "friend's" house at 1:am anyway?

Now, that's what I'm talkin' about... Kid's a soldier. Good for her.

Why was she walking around at 1:00am? Could be anything, really. Kids sneak out, lie about where they're spending the night, parents could have gotten into a fight, maybe she has a liberal curfew...

I was wondering the same thing...that is till I started thinking back to when I was that age and would climb out my bedroom window without my parents knowing and be walking the neighborhood at all hours of the night...it's a right of passage for some!
