HARRIMAN (WATE) - A man wanted for child rape in Roane County is on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Most Wanted List.
Douglas Patterson, 37, whose last known address was in Harriman, is wanted by the Roane County Sheriff's Office for five counts of child rape.
On May 11, 2009, the sheriff's office responded to a report of a rape of a 12-year-old girl. Two days later, Patterson confessed to sex crimes against the victim.
He was indicted by a Roane County grand jury in October 2009. His bond amount is set at $8,000.
Patterson has a criminal history that dates back to 1998 and includes theft over $1,000, numerous drug charges, traffic violations and unpaid child support.
Patterson is described as 6' and about 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and tattoos on his right arm and back.
