Jack Eagle, 59, was arrested in Florida in March and was returned to Kentucky on April 10.
He is accused of raping a female family member several times,
beginning when she was just four years old. The abuse allegedly lasted seven years.
Lt. Scotty McGaha, a Bullitt County Sheriff's Department detective gave graphic testimony about the case in court. He also revealed that Eagle
may have allegedly raped several other family members.
Eagle's two sisters, Susan Goltzer and Shirl Lyons, were in the courtroom for Monday's proceedings.
"I wanted to make sure that he is finally going to own up to all the hurt and all the pain that he has caused every female family member of this family for the past 40 years," said Goltzer.
"He's a sociopath," said Lyons. "He's gotten by with hurting a lot of people for a lot of years. that's a great burden for his victims to have bared. Not getting the justice in 1984, glad to see we are finally going to get justice now."
Eagle was charged in 1984 with raping and sodomizing another family member.
Detectives say Eagle was living in Florida, where he was mowing lawns for living.
The judge denied Eagle's request that he undergo a mental evaluation.
