Laura Mancini, 55, was found dead inside her Smith Street home Wednesday. Co-workers at the hair salon where she worked called police when she didn't show up for work.
Mancini was strangled and stabbed, the medical examiner concluded.

Arrest warrant reveals horrifying details
Danbury, Conn. (WTNH) -

Newly released police documents allege a Connecticut man charged with murdering his neighbor stabbed her 14 times in the neck after raping her.

An arrest warrant affidavit released Tuesday also says 39-year-old father of four Christopher Pouncie of Danbury cleaned up the crime scene after allegedly killing 54-year-old hairdresser Laura Mancini three weeks ago.

Pouncie was arraigned Tuesday in Danbury Superior Court on capital felony, murder, home invasion and other charges in Mancini's killing. If convicted, he faces the possibility of the death penalty.

Police say Pouncie told authorities he was home all night with a sick child at the time Mancini was killed. Police say his live-in girlfriend initially backed Pouncie's alibi, but later admitted she lied.
