Police Say Day Care Owner Fondled Child; 2 Others Make Allegations
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Mandarin day care owner charged with molesting a child was arraigned in court Thursday.
Police arrested 44-year-old David Hart earlier this month after they said he fondled a child at a sleepover. He was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 12, sexual battery of a child under 12 and aggravated assault.
Investigators said two other children also made allegations against Hart.
His bond was set at $400,006. A judge ordered that he have no contact with the victims, and he can't live with children until the case is decided.
Hart, a co-owner of A+ Just 4 Kids day care center on Crown Pointe Road, will also have to wear an ankle monitor, and he won't be allowed to go to his day care centers.

His lawyer insists the alleged crimes do not involve any of the children at the center.
Hart's wife said in court Thursday she hadn't seen any inappropriate behavior between the children and her husband.
"Do you feel that you would recognize and know if anything inappropriate had occurred between your husband and the children?" an attorney asked her.
"Yes, I would," Hart's wife replied.
The father of one of the accusers also testified Thursday.
"My son is in fear. My son will not sleep at night," he said. "He can't go to school. He literally wakes up in the middle of the night now."
