WHITE SETTLEMENT -- A 19-year-old woman killed Saturday inside her apartment was strangled by the father of her two children after he sneaked in and found her with another man, police said Monday.

Cassandra Rojas was pronounced dead at 4:33 p.m. at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital.

Cipriano Alamanza, 23, was arrested at the apartment, White Settlement police Sgt. D. Boden said. Alamanza remained in the White Settlement Jail on Monday on suspicion of murder, with bail set at $250,000, Boden said.

He said the couple had apparently been involved in an on-and-off relationship but were not together at the time of Rojas' death.

Investigators believe that Alamanza entered Rojas' Beacon Hill apartment in the 1800 block of Las Vegas Trail through an unlocked window about 4 a.m. while she slept, Boden said.

"She had someone else there with her," he said. "That upset him."

Boden said the other man fled the apartment. Alamanza then strangled Rojas with his hands and possibly a ligature, Boden said.
