Police believe a woman not only decided to shoplift at a JCPenney in Muncie, but she also decided to relieve herself in a dressing room rather than a bathroom.
Officers were called out to the JCPenney at 3501 North Granville Avenue on March 3.
Police say a loss prevention officer witnessed Cynthia Shouse pick up a necklace, earrings, and several tank tops before entering a dressing room.
The officer said Cynthia came out of the room wearing some of the items. The officer went into the dressing room and located several tags on the floor and a spot where Cynthia is believed to have urinated on the floor.
As Cynthia tried to leave the store, the officer stopped her and asked her to walk to the loss prevention office.
The officer noticed Cynthia had blood shot eyes, slurred speech, and smelled like alcohol. Cynthia also had an open bottle of vodka in her purse.
The officer asked Cynthia to take of the stolen items, which amounted to $119.00.
She was later taken to the Delaware County Jail where her blood alcohol test came back .24.
Cynthia faces several charges including theft and public intoxication.
