    Jesus Carlos Alvara Arrested, following injuries to woman, baby

    LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) -
    Las Cruces police say they have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and injuring her baby.

    Police say 19-year-old Jesus Carlos Alvarado is charged with one count each of aggravated battery against a household member, negligent child abuse and false imprisonment. He's being held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center on $40,000 bond.

    Detectives say Alvarado was drinking beer Wednesday afternoon and at some point began arguing with his 30-year-old girlfriend.

    They say Alvarado then began punching the woman as she held her 1-year-old son. The boy was injured when Alvarado slammed a door closed, striking the child's face.

    The woman and baby were transported to Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces for treatment of their injuries, which police say do not appear to be life-threatening.

    Only 19 and already a flaming asshole.

    With baby mama being 30 years old, unless she is developementally challenged, she should know how to get the F out and keep him the F away from her and the baby. I hope she figures it out cause abusers don't usually stop abusing on their own cause they like doing it. Cause, you know, they're in charge and all that. And, oh, also "he a Man". As if that excuses or explains it.

    well, to be honest *ahem* i can see having a boy toy just for fun, but not for day-to-day living and ab-so-fucking-lutely not for a long term or live-in relationship. with all the horror stories you hear these days, you have to be so very careful with your child.
