A 35-year-old Warsaw man was arrested Thursday morning on charges of possession of child pornography after his wife noticed odd behavior and virus-infected home computers her husband refused to get fixed.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, 35-year-old
Jason A. Stone’s wife contacted the sheriff’s department after discovering her husband had been visiting various under-aged pornographic internet sites.
Stone’s wife became suspicious of her husband
due to his erratic behavior and constantly sending their family on paid trips to the Indianapolis area. She also stated that she was also suspicious after
their home computers were being infected with viruses and he would not allow her to get them fixed.
After tracking the computer web sites with the assistance of a local computer store, Stone’s wife consulted an attorney and then proceeded to contact K.C.S.D.
When K.C.S.D. officers searched Stone's home on February 8th, they removed two safes as well as the computers from the home. Inside the safe, detectives found about 266 individually printed images on photo paper that depicted sexual conduct of children that appeared to be less than 16 years old. The safes also contained 26 DVD’s of child pornography as well as various other DVD and VHS tapes depicting both adult and child pornographic content and beastiality.
Det. Spangle stated that they also found a Michigan temporary driver’s license, two Texas driver’s license, a U.S. Passport and 29 miscellaneous credit cards.
