A 30-year-old Sheboygan man who used a computer to create a counterfeit bill was charged Monday despite his claims that he passed the bill by accident, according to a criminal complaint.
Joshua G. Isaacs, of 512 Wisconsin Ave., Apt. 3, told police he is interested in graphic design and created the bill using Photoshop to see if he could do it, the complaint said.
Isaacs claimed he inadvertently moved the bill from his car to his wallet and ended up using it.
The complaint said Isaacs passed the bill Sunday night at Q Mart, 2420 Calumet Drive. A clerk there contacted police after noticing the coloring on the bill was off and it had no watermark or security strip.
Isaacs turned himself at the police department after the clerk called him to ask if he had passed the bad bill.
