Leo Murray tries to shut baby up with a samurai sword

A Texas man is behind bars for threatening an 11-month-old and a woman with a samurai sword on Monday.

Austin police said Leo Murray, 38, threatened the infant because the child was sick and crying incessantly. According to police reports, Murray was upset because the child woke him up, and he had to be at work by 4 a.m.

When the woman asked Murray for help with the sick child, Murray reportedly grabbed a samurai sword from the living room area. Murray held the samurai sword with two hands above his head.

The toddler was in the mother’s arms at the time of the threat. When the victim told the suspect she was going to call her mom, Murray allegedly hit the desk and the phone with the sword and flipped the dining room table over. The victim picked up a knife and told the suspect to stay away. Murray grabbed the knife and cut himself on the hand.

Austin police were called out to the East Austin home after receiving a text message and a 911 call from the mother.

According to the sheriff's info, tomorrow is his birthday! And he will be 48 (not 38 as reported in the article).

Actually, they were used to cut the cake at daughter's military wedding (can't use the real ones). They're in a box somewhere...

The only honorable thing for him to do now as a samurai wannabe is to commit seppuku.

Barring that, he needs a long stretch in jail and this kind reminder from Mitsurugi: "Swords are not toys."

If you're scared enough of a man to pick up a knife and tell him to stay back... and he doesn't... stab the shit outta him. Don't let him take the knife and further illustrate what a psycho he is.

If you fear someones actions enough to grab a knife, don't say a damn thing, just stick um and twist. Talking about it gets people hurt with their own knife.
