teen brother attacked, sister raped and beaten by mom's boyfriend

A 13-year-old boy and his 16-year-old sister are recovering from near-fatal injuries suffered early Saturday morning in Frederica after they were allegedly beaten with a hammer by their mother's boyfriend.

Delaware State Police said they received a call around 2 a.m. from a girl, saying she and her brother had been beaten with a blunt object, believed to be a hammer. According to court documents, the pair were attacked in a vacant home.

Police say Wayne Jones, 38, of Houston, Del., is in custody.

The girl told investigators that Jones then dragged them into a car and drove to an apartment where he formerly lived. That's where he allegedly raped her and told her that he would hurt her family if she told anybody.

Police said officers found splattered blood at the house the girl called from. The boy was placed on a ventilator at Christiana Hospital and the girl was treated for head trauma and a broken left hand, police said.

He said he went to his parents' house to get money and when he saw the door open to the vacant home next door, he went inside and was grabbed by two men. When the children came looking for him, his attackers beat them, too, he told police.

Will be interesting to find out the motive here.

The motive was perversion.

He wanted the 16 year old and the 13 year old was in the way.

I am sure he never intended for either of them to make it.
