What the fuck is wrong with people? Why would you have the baby, name him, be a figure in his life for 8 months and then just give him up? Why not just walk away from the git go? My daughter had Christmas break from her pre-school and I took time off to be with her. I can't express the joy I felt in my heart to be with her everyday, all day. To watch her sleep, eat, play and laugh. It made me heartsick when we went back to business as usual this week. I just don't get it...

Same reason people adopt puppies and kittens and chickies and duckies and bunnies and then abandon them after a short time at the shelter... it sounds fun until the newness wears off and you realize you actually have to work with them and everything is not all fun and games.... in a nutshell, immaturity.

I just cannot believe that someone has Gabriel, and that's he's alive and with a new family. The people would have to literally live on another planet (or possibly another country) to not have seen news coverage about him. There's no way they are taking him out to McDonald's, the playground, putting him in daycare, etc etc without someone recognizing him. I believe if someone had Gabriel, they would turn him in, they'd have no choice.

This morning I saw the dad pleading on GMA for whoever has him to turn him in. This story isn't going to end well, I am afraid.

I tend to agree at this point, but hope is holding out. We read some crazy shit on here, there is always a chance that the person who has Gabriel will just stash him under a bed or what not and someone will hear him crying....as we know this shit does happen.

The father has a rap sheet for burglary, DUI, etc....not that i'm saying that makes him a bad father, but he filed an order of protection against the mom for trashing the apartment they were living in and making threats against him and the baby.....BACK IN JULY!!!! Why he or someone related to them didn't do something about gaining emergency custody is beyond me! Honestly, if the baby is alive - he should go into foster care and if bio-dad wants him back bad enough he can go to some parenting classes first! Everything that I've read on this case these two boneheads were going to give the baby up for adoption but he kept changing his mind. Who knows if that's accurate or not....

Bottom line is - in this day and age, you should be required to complete some type of parenting classes before the baby is released from the hospital. Teach stuff like - you can't leave your kid in the car when it's 80 outside...or you can't throw your infant around....or you HAVE to feed the baby regularly. Ya know basic stuff.

Maybe it's a bit extreme, but am i the only one who gets tired of hearing about missing/murdered/abused children????

Elizabeth Johnson remains in a Florida jail. She told authorities she gave her 8-month-old son Gabriel to a couple she met with at Raymond Russell Park.

Gabriel's great-grandfather says Elizabeth did not want to be a mother but wanted her baby to be in a stable home.

Johnson's grandfather, Bob Johnson, told ABC News that he doesn't believe his granddaughter's story that she simply left her child with an unknown couple.

"I think that she has given the baby to somebody and I think she knows who it is," he said. "I think it's in San Antonio in somebody else's house and she just ain't given it up.

"She has an anger-management problem and she's working on that," Bob Johnson said.

I, also, believe that Tammi Peters Smith knows who Gabriel is with and Smith is the person that financed the trip to San Antonio!

I think they should charge Elizabeth with kidnapping, extortion and endangering a child and whatever else, once she gets back to Arizona, then maybe she will tell the truth about Gabriel. And the FBI can go pick him up!!

I could almost feel sorry for her IF she hadn't been such a mean ass mother and selfish twat! He and Tammi wanted me to sign adoption papers for Hannah, my daughter, but when I refused they sold their house and moved to Az where they falsified docs to adopt her there. We were in court about it when my work required I leave the state, returning to news they'd sold their home and moved west. He offered me money, time and again. which I refused. Hannah Grace is my daughter, I have pics of my wedding to her mother and can name those present. Jack Smith is a liar. I can prove it thru court records. He probably paid Elizabeth off. The people aren't who they say they are.

On a side note, if it interests anyone, within Maricopa County Superior Court I found a case dated 10/05/09 that lists a Glenn B. McCormick as suing Elizabeth Joanne Johnson. I believe the case listing does not give a DOB for Elizabeth but I assume it is the same person. I google the McCormick name and find it is very possible that he is the same assistant US attorney for the District of Arizona named Glenn Brian McCormick. I totally wonder why he would be suing her (if it is the one in the same)? Additionally, I did use intelius to search out Brian McCormick's in Arizona and only turned two through there, but there are some Bryans also, and I have found evidence of a Brian C. and a Brian T. within court cases for that county so I cannot be sure it is the same person nor the accuracy of intelius.
