(MYFOX NATIONAL) - A South Dakota woman possibly set a record she may not remember, and others should stay away from.

Marguerite Engle, 45, was arrested Dec. 1 after police found her passed out behind the wheel of a delivery truck reported stolen in Rapid City, S.D. The vehicle was parked on the side of Interstate 90.

Engle had a blood-alcohol level of .708 percent, almost nine times South Dakota's legal limit of .08 percent, reported the Rapid City Journal .

Labs where blood-alcohol levels are tested said that Engle's reading may be the highest ever recorded in South Dakota, according to Meade County State's Attorney Jesse Sondreal.

Engle was hospitalized after she was found and then freed on bond. She failed to appear in court on Dec. 15 and then Monday was arrested again in another stolen car, also parked on the side of a road. She was charged for a second offense of driving under the influence and taken to jail. She is being held without bond.

In July 2008 Rhode Island police arrested a man whose blood-alcohol level was .491 percent, which was the highest ever recorded in the state for someone who wasn't dead, reported The Associated Press .

A blood-alcohol level of over .40 is considered extremely dangerous. A chart by Virginia Tech lists "unconsciousness" and "death" as effects of having such a high level. The University of Oklahoma Police posted an online blood-alcohol calculator to estimate blood-alcohol levels based on consumption

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding in North Dakota few years ago. I was the only member of the bridal party NOT from North Dakota (except for the pregnant girl). We took the bride out for a few drinks the night before the wedding, and I went toe to toe with those girls. I wasn't a lightweight then like I am now, either. The next day, I was puking my guts in the men's bathroom in the church basement, and not one of the other girls had so much as a headache.

The woman who law enforcement said measured a blood alcohol level of .708 says she had no recollection of the incident.

Marguerite Engle, 45, Sturgis, admitted to two drunk driving offenses Tuesday in 4th Circuit Magistrate Court in Sturgis before Judge Michelle Percy.

Engle’s sentencing date is set for 11 a.m., Feb. 23. Percy ordered a pre-sentence investigation where Engle is likely to undergo an evaluation and a behavioral history will be compiled.

Engle was found on Dec. 1 in a vehicle along Interstate 90. Police reported Engle’s blood alcohol content was .708, a life-threatening level and possible state record. Then, on Dec. 28, Engle was arrested near Fort Meade after she failed to appear for her Dec. 1 DUI charge. At that time, police reported her BAC was .281. She was charged with driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.

Engle pled guilty to both DUI charges during her hearing Tuesday, and the Meade County state’s attorney’s office agreed to drop all other charges.
