Jason Burrelli has an ironic tat across his head

"Everything happens for a reason," his bald head proclaims above a furrowed brow.

Wonder if Jason Burrelli thought the same thing in jail Monday night after he was picked up on a warrant for a previous marijuana charge.

That quote is tattooed across Burrelli's forehead, shown in his mug shot on the Hillsborough County Jail's Web site.

According to his jail record, his occupation is listed as a tattoo artist.

His original charge came after he was stopped for having an unlit license plate and the officer smelled what he was doing.

I spent a while considering getting into tattooing seriously and it's not that unusual to have things like this of course. Many of them use their own skin to practice or allow their friends to practice, and use the not-so-prime real estate for much of it. The scalp is something that can possibly be covered by hair, so I can see using it in that situation.

Not to start in on the tattoo debate since I adore ink and yet also believe that there are grounds to the stereotypes of tattoos across the throat, face, head, etc. for most people, but not actual tattoo artists. They're a little different since it's a full lifestyle they're living.

And this is actually quite off-topic since it's about tattoos in general... lol I hope I can be forgiven for rambling since it's a somewhat light-hearted crime IMO.

Now, back on topic of a sort--I still think pot should be legalized. While this is a funny/discussable story, I'd rather see the resources of manpower, county money, judge time, etc. spent on getting the murderers, rapists, and other severe criminals off the streets.
