Erin Ashe Kicked the 4 year old "like a dog".

28 year old Erin Lee Ashe of Bartlesville was arrested yesterday on a felony complaint of child abuse after police got involved during a custody dispute with the father of a different child:

Ashe visited the police department on Saturday to complain about a custody dispute.

According to a police affidavit, Ashe objected to the father of her 7-month-old baby, Matthew Baxter, taking the child to live in Tulsa.

When questioned by police, Baxter said he removed the baby because he began to fear for her safety after witnessing Ashe kicking her 4-year-old in the head “like a dog.”

Ashe explained to police that she had merely “nudged” the boy with her foot and said Baxter did not have a clear picture of what happened, the affidavit stated.

She then told police the bruising and discoloration injury to the child’s left temple were not from her kicking him, but from her slapping him on that spot, the affidavit stated.

    Fucking bitch.

Kudos to the baby's father for taking the baby away. Too bad he didn't kick her in the fucking head and take the 4 year old with him too...straight to the police station.

"No, no no officer, I didn't kick the child. I merely slapped the shit out of him on his head. Sure, it was enough to cause bruising. But, I didn't kick him!" Dumb ass bitch.

Somebody explain to me Matthew Baxter's reasoning here. It's okay to kick a 4 year old in the head, but not a 7 month old? I hope he takes some heat here, too.

That's a VERY good point that I didn't even think of! I know the 4 yo wasn't his child but come on! He should have reported it!

She looks like someone that would kick a child/dog......
Matthew Baxter should be charged with enabling abuse!!

    Ok you guys are tripping.

The article says he is the father of one of her other children. So he does not have parental rights to the 4 y/o. If he had took the 4 y/o BEFORE calling the police, wouldn't that be considered kidnapping?

Yes I would have reported it if I was in his shoes. Who is to say he wouldn't have after he secured his child first?

You guys are calling for his arrest for being a protective parent? Lets not forget it is because of him that the child got help in the end...

    Bullshit.

He did not call the police. He took his baby, went home, and did not report the abuse he witnessed until the police came to him asking why he took their baby home with him permanently.

If she hadn't walked into that station herself, she may have never been arrested for this at all.

She went in on Saturday with the complaint, they talked to him later, she was arrested on Tuesday. If I had been him, I'll be damned if I had taken my own baby, left that boy there, and went home and twiddled my fucking thumbs until police came to me. My kid, not my kid, whatever.

Yeah, good thing "daddy" didn't want his baby knocked around like that four year old ...."like a dog"

If she hadnt called the cops and just let him keep the baby that 4 yr old might not have survived the next time.

    wtf?

    Interesting!

Just now saw an interesting post in the comments on the original article regarding this case:

    Soonerfan72, (12/16/2009 4:59:25 PM)
The father of the baby also removed the 4 year old boy from the home and left after the incident. The mother actually did NOT report this to the police until Monday (the incident occured on Saturday). The man took the 4 year old even thought it was not his child BECAUSE of the abuse he witnessed. He then retained an attorney and filed for legal custody of his daughter and turned both children over to DHS pending the investigation. He did the right thing. Had she not abused the boy, she obviously would have reported his taking the children before Monday morning, as one child was not even his. Obviously this man was looking out for the safety of not only his child but the little boy as well.
If this is the case, I would love to be the first to high five that dude and give him a father of the year award. I'll probably have to settle for eating crow over my original opinion of what the article stated instead.

Thanks for the clarification. News reports are not always written clearly or with all the info that inquiring minds want to know, so it was a little confusing to figure it out.

Sounds to me like Matthew Baxter is a rare-to-the-point-of-extinction type of man in these stories--a Real Man.
