The pizza delivery driver helped Tara Dawn Biller's daughter

An SUV ran into a ditch just before a pizza delivery driver saw a young child banging on the passenger window to get out. The child escaped and went to the shelter of the delivery driver's car. The SUV the child was in drove away and 9-1-1 was alerted. The driver of it, Tara Dawn Biller was found in her vehicle on Lafayette Boulevard.

The child told authorities she was scared of her 30-year-old mom's driving. Biller is charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license and child endangerment, among other charges. Her daughter was released to family members and Biller was arrested on $3,500 bond.

Deputies responded to the area of Lafayette Boulevard and Lorraine Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. for a report of a suspected drunken driver, police said.

The caller, a pizza delivery driver, told authorities she saw a Chevrolet Tahoe swerving on Lorraine Avenue. She told police the vehicle had gone into a ditch and stopped.

The witness also told authorities she saw a child banging on the passenger window and then getting out of the car.

The Tahoe then drove away, police said, leaving the child behind.

A deputy arrived and found a 10-year-old girl sitting in the pizza delivery driver's car. The child told the deputy that her mother had been driving and that she was scared because of the way her mom was driving.

A deputy located the mother's car on Lafayette Boulevard and police say the driver was visibly intoxicated.

Tara Dawn Biller, 30, of Fredericksburg was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license. She was also charged with refusing a breath test and child endangerment.

The child was released to family members.

In a perfect world, this would mean her child will be taken from her and put in a better family.... but in our world, sadly, she may be kissing her goodbye to the ground, given our track record with these things.

A Fredericksburg mother charged with abandoning her 10-year-old daughter on the side of the road earlier this month is facing new charges.

This time, authorities say, she is charged with endangering her infant son.

Spotsylvania Sheriff's Lt. Liz Scott said Deputy Jason Morris made a traffic stop on a 2006 Chrysler Sebring in the area of Mudd Tavern Road and Mallard Road around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

The car was being driven by 30-year-old Tara Dawn Biller of Oak Court, Scott said.

After an investigation, Biller was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, child endangerment, possession of Oxycontin, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.

Scott said Biller's infant son was found in the back seat of the vehicle, seated in a child safety seat, but was not buckled in. The child was turned over to a family friend.

The car Biller was driving belonged to her boyfriend who said he did not know she had taken the vehicle, Scott said.

She is due in court Feb. 2 on the earlier charges.

I don't think either child was removed from her care. The older one was "released to family members", after the first incident. The second time, the infant was "turned over to a family friend". I think this means to police called someone to pick up the kids for the police station.

Apparently, she live in a state where she will have to kill one of the kids before the other is put into protective custody. Extreamly fucked up.

Foster families fuck kids up worse than their real families would.Not always but at least 80 percent of the time.But alot of the time anything is better than what the kid had.I hope this baby comes out OK.This shit made me sad!

A woman who left her terrified 10-year-old daughter behind after driving into a ditch last year was ordered yesterday to serve 17 months in prison.

Tara Dawn Biller, 30, of Fredericksburg pleaded guilty in Spotsylvania Circuit Court to possession of oxycodone, driving while intoxicated and two counts of felony child neglect. The DWI conviction is her third within five years.

She was sentenced to a total of 18 years in prison with all but 17 months suspended.

Sorry, 17 months isn't enough time. This is someone who has shown again and again (she's only been caught 3 times) that she has no qualms about getting being the wheel drunk or high on drugs. She lasted barely a month after the DWI incident with her daughter before she was back behind the wheel, putting her infant son and others in harm's way. This is the type of person who WILL kill or maim someone if she isn't behind bars for a long time. We only to look at the history of many of the drivers like her who have killed someone to prove that.
