http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/...Breaking+News)DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A deputy on his way to serve papers at a home along Florida's Atlantic coast was bitten by a pit bull on the calf.
The Volusia County sheriff's officials says that the deputy was taken to a hospital after Monday's incident. The injuries were not life-threatening.
The deputy fired two shots at the animal and injured it, but it's not clear whether the dog was shot twice.
When the animal was finally caught, his owner was the only one who could pick up the dog
I wish there was more on this. Was the dog roaming loose or did the deputy let himself in a gate to serve the papers?
