PHILADELPHIA—A number of Asian students at South Philadelphia High School are staying home after some say they were targeted for attack.
A counselor at the Chinatown Development Corporation says 26 Asian students were beaten in the hallways by a gang of other students throughout the day Thursday.

Seven of the victims were treated at a hospital for scrapes and bruises.

School district officials say 10 students have been suspended.

The school is 18 percent Asian and has been designated by the state as "persistently dangerous" the last three years.

The school's principal declined to comment. Another official says assaults at the school are down by 50 percent from last year.

I remember when I was in high school the fights consisted of girls pulling each other's hair and boys maybe punching each other once and then next thing you know they are eating lunch together. Sometimes I wonder if it is even worth it anymore to send my kids to school..lol

It's no stranger than the kids attacked the last few weeks...you know..kick a ginger day...kick a Jew day..and now kick an Asian day...
