Kecia Hahn is accused of using her three children to help her burglarize a neighbor’s home and admitted to lifting her 8-year-old son into a window and telling him to unlock the door. Hahn and her children ages, 8, 10 and 14, carried more than a $1,000 worth of stolen items from the neighbor’s house.
The cops began their investigation after receiving a call from the neighbor who said his home had been broken into and furniture and knickknacks were missing. A person familiar with the house looked across the alley and saw a suitcase from the house which was sitting in Hahn’s driveway.
The cops went to Hahn’s house and asked if they could look around in her garage and when she refused the officers obtained a search warrant for the premises. Hahn has been charged with one count of burglary and grand larceny and remains in jail because her children aren’t able to steal the $50,000 cash only bond from the neighbors that she needs because the three children are in the custody of the Division of Health and Human Resources.
