Mario Tinor's family put a hit on him

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - A man was the target of a murder-for-hire plot being hatched by his wife and daughter, Peterborough police said.

Crystal Tinor, 47, and Ashley Tinor, 23, were arrested and charged Monday night with conspiracy to commit murder.

The alleged victim is Mario Tinor, 48, a former Scout leader. Police became involved when contacted by a "third party" on Nov. 9, who had some knowledge of the plan, Lyons said.

An undercover officer then portrayed himself as a potential hitman that the women were trying to hire, Lyons said.

Police said the daughter helped facilitate the meeting and the mother told the undercover officer she wanted her husband killed.

The allegations have not been proven in court. The mother and daughter weren't previously known to police, Lyons said.

When police learned of the plan, the 48-year-old man was taken into police protection Lyons said.

"It wouldn't be something I would suggest (the father) had knowledge of until it was brought to his attention."

The arrest comes seven days after police were notified.

Besides, it's not like it was just "made up" by us. I realize that sometimes comprehension is a little lacking in some people, so I'll help you out Tinor21. This post is an attributed newspaper story. This whole forum is built around the fact that there are a lot of idiots in the world, like the two chicks who met with an undercover police officer to arrange a "hit" against their husband and father.

So, please do enlighten us. Thing is that in cases like this, where the police had time to PLAN, there is probably audio, video, and a million other ways to prove that this event occurred. So I'd love to hear the explanation that you have for the whole story, which again, came from a newspaper. While I don't think the media is always the smartest animal, normally they don't get away with making too much crap up.

Actually I've made LOTS of fucked up choices. None involved contacting an undercover officer in hopes of having my dad killed. Matter of fact, I've never contacted anyone to have anyone killed. Therefore, I can judge that action because it WAS stupid, you're ignorant for blowing your little mouthful of hot air about how we're talking about a verified news article where idiots (yes, idiots) went to an undercover officer and hung themselves by the decision to do that.

It's a news article. In my time in this forum, I've seen tons of twats like you come in and defend the people who are featured on the blog and forums, and it's always the same. Just a whole bunch of accusations that we don't know what we're talking about, usually some sort of pithy comment about how we can't judge others, blah blah blah. It's old and it's boring, and you've added nothing to the conversation. If you don't want to share further information, we'll keep on going by what IS known, by the newspaper article, and that information shows us that these women tried to hire a hitman to kill this man.

YOU were the one coming on here and saying we didn't know what we were talking about and then you act all offended when asked to enlighten us. So either keep your little fingers still and stop trying to be self-righteous about how little we know, when what IS known is reported in the paper for all the world to see.

Go away and when you want to contribute to the discussion, come back and add something. As it is, you've not added anything except a cliched example of a dozen more before you.

Ashley,( I am going to assume you are Ashley because of the tinor24), I see your mom and you made bail. When this went down last month, you must have been horribly surprised to see they were accusing you of plotting to kill your Father. That is so unfair and wrong if you had nothing to do with it.
If my family was being raked over the coals for bullshit I would be pissed too.
Were the detectives nice to you? Was it scary? What does your Dad think of all this. I read he is in protective custody now. They are really blowing this out of proportion. I feel for you. I have been falsely accused by detectives and even the FBI recently so I seriously feel your pain. Tell me what's going on.

I have no idea why it's so hard to understand that WE did not make this story up. Is the paper "gossiping"?

And I could provide some stories that would make for some very interesting gossip from my family. I've said on here before that my father spent time in prison--and if that had happened more recently, he may/could have been featured here. Would I love it? Nope, I wouldn't. You know what I hate more though? The fact that HE COMMITTED A FUCKING CRIME.

I am always the first one around here to sympathize with family members of criminals. I have always endorsed understanding that you don't stop loving someone just because they are terrible people. But that does NOT mean that I think it's smart to deny everything, especially when there is proof.

I don't know you, don't know the people in the article. Had you come on here and said "hey I am and/or know these people, and the paper has it wrong," and then told us WHY the papers are wrong, someone may have given you an iota of credit. Instead, you're in here insisting that we are wrong.

I'm truly sorry for the innocents that are involved in this story-the ones who had nothing to do with the murder plot, and the ones who love the twits who tried to hire a hit man. However, I'm not sorry and won't apologize for the fuck-up that the idiots made themselves. Just because you're upset and hurt by this does not mean that they won't get the same treatment as every other criminal either here or in any other aspect. They committed a crime, and it's public knowledge. That's a GOOD thing because beyond your hurt feelings, these people were going to try to have a man murdered.

If you have something to add, please do. Thus far you've added nothing, so of course we are going to go by the paper reports. Also, the people in your local area know all about it, and they're going to talk about it quite a bit. As a family member of this clan, I'd suggest you grow a thicker skin because this is not over for you. If you're this upset over strangers discussing a newspaper article online, I believe you're going to have a hard time coping with reality.

The media has blown this out of control. I know the 3rd party that was there from start to finish. I have talked to the 3rd party in the mature and know exactly what happened in detail. I'm not going to discuss it but things are nothing as they are being told in the news. The family and boyfriend are having a real hard time with the situation and even though the family hates me more then anyone. I'd like to ask just to lay off of them and try to understand being in there position.
