Philip Knee- Western Kentucky man sentenced to 10 years for baby's death

PRINCETON, Ky. — A Western Kentucky man convicted of second-degree manslaughter in the death of a 10-month-old boy has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Paducah Sun reports Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall III followed the jury's recommendation when he sentenced Philip Knee of Dawson Springs on Tuesday.

Knee was accused of smothering Ethan Cotton, the son of his former girlfriend, by holding a bottle tightly to the baby's mouth until he stopped breathing.

Look thats my foster brother not only is he innocent, and his baby mama is crazy, but we will appeal and I would trust him with my daughter. I know he wouldn't hold a bottle to a child's mouth until he stopped breathing. You havn't seen the evidence so how can you say that. Do you know that your internet post/reply would be considered a threat and he could take you to court for that. So I would suggest you hold your toung, until you understand the depth of the situation, because everything is not black and white like it is on CSI, grow up and do some fucking research. I lived with him for years, let alone a month with my brother and his baby mama and she left him alone several times. She also took her son to the doctors and they told her that her soon had a condition that she needed to get him medication for. The autopsy showed that the baby did not have formula in his lungs, but he suffocated from blood in his lungs. So before you judge, don't threaten and do your homework!!!

If Philip Knee was innocent, and the autopsy proved it, how did he get convicted? Just when do you plan to appeal? When his sentence is served?

He was CONVICTED by a jury of his peers...Besides that fact that the cause of death was smothering not drowning so there wouldn't have to be any formula in the childs lungs! As far as I'm concerned he was tried and convicted so he and you can kiss my ass!
