Alisha Sidie, 27, is missing *murdered, ex-husband charged*

Sheriff Waldera say Alisha Sidie was last seen November 7 at her home in Hatfield between 9:00pm and 10:00pm. Her family reported her missing Saturday evening.

Sidie is described as 5'4" tall, abougt 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Sidie is encouraged to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at 715-284-5357. Family says Alisha was wearing light blue scrubs and a long-sleeved white t-shirt.

Alisha's husband, Doug, says his wife returned home Friday night from work. Doug Sidie says the two had an argument and Alisha left.

Please. Why do they even admit to the argument? It's so clear Dougie disposed of his problem.

I fear I've become far too cynical. It's so very rare for people to walk outside in their nice suburban worlds and disappear. It's so very common for spouses to become enraged with one another and kill. I'm just playing the odds here....

while I agree the husband should still be looked at, there is confirmation she was still alive after the husband says she left the house (cell phone records). Apprently not the first time she did it. Either way, I hope they find her alive.

This report says the search has been halted, they're processing the house now... and it said that it was her ex-husband... so maybe they had divorced but were still living together until other arrangements could be made?

Update: Body found, husband arrested

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in Jackson County say the body of a missing Hatfield woman has been found and her former husband has been arrested on murder charges.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department provided few details late Saturday on how the body of 27-year-old Alisha Sidie was recovered, but said 39-year-old Douglas Sidie was in custody.

The woman had not been seen since Nov. 7.

Investigators told station WEAU in Eau Claire that the body was found in a desolate part of eastern Jackson County and that the couple's 2-year-old twin boys were in state custody.

Relatives told the LaCrosse Tribune it was unlikely the woman would leave the children behind.

The sheriff's department has scheduled a news conference for 1 p.m. Sunday.
