Myra Orozco wouldn't help ditch the body

After deliberating for only thirty minutes yesterday, a Long Beach jury recommended a death sentence in the murder trial of 28 year old Santiago Martinez Jr. for the 2003 killing of 24 year old Myra Orozco.

Orozco, his girlfriend at the time, refused to help Santiago dispose of the body of another girlfriend of his whom he'd killed two weeks prior. For her refusal Santiago stabbed Orozco almost 30 times, pushed her out of a vehicle and ran over her. He's already serving a 52 year to life sentence for the murder of Christina Wilkerson, who was stabbed 20 times and shot to death.

Obviously this "man" is a savage...and these two ladies had to find that out the worse way. Jesus...two girlfriends dead in two weeks..this guy's a prince.

Hahahaha! When I told Dan about this he said there is a rule of thumb for murder; you don't tell anybody with thumbs that you did it.

Gee what happened when the romance ended to moving out? This makes me not want to leave the situation I'm in and that's sad. I'm socking away money every week to leave an emotional and verbally abusive man. This is almost enough to make me think I actually have it decent. He may tell me I'm fat ugly and lazy, but I at least know he won't kill me.

Thank you! The goal is to be ready to break away the day after New Year's. It will be truly a new beginning for me. After a decade of this crap to start fresh in a new year without it.

LONG BEACH -- Jurors on Thursday heard testimony from the girlfriend of a Long Beach parolee who's on trial for murder for the second time.

It's been alleged that Santiago Martinez Jr., 27, asked Katrina "Tina" Camarena -- who thought she was the only woman in his life -- to help dispose of the body of another girlfriend, Christina Wilkerson.

More than a week later, Camarena grudgingly testified, she learned a second woman, Myra Orozco, had been murdered as well.

The witness said she learned about Orozco after she found Martinez hosing out a blue car, which matches the description of the vehicle where Orozco was allegedly stabbed to death.

The woman, who had to be arrested to ensure she would appear for court, tried to say she couldn't remember anything following the deaths of Orozco and Wilkerson.

One of Orozco's relatives cried quietly as the doctor described wounds where a "bladed weapon" sunk deep enough to hit bone in the victim's scalp, face and chest.

After looking at close-up photos of Orozco's bloodied remains, a number of jurors appeared distressed.

One whispered, "my God." Another juror asked for a glass of water, then leaned forward and began to cry as a fellow juror patted him on the back.
