A question...

When or if we create a chat room and make it private, does an administrator need to know the password as well?

Nah. If it lets you create a private room, have at it. I just went in to see what you were talking about and had no clue you could even do that. :)

I just read McVain's post, and I am not sure if it will let me in automatically or not. I created my own room with a password and it prompted me. Create on real quick and I'll see if it will let me in or not.

EDIT: So here is how it works... You can create a room and make it private. In doing this, no one can see your room unless you invite them. So anyone you want in the room, including the admin (Killroy) must be invited.

You can invite them by clicking on their name (they will be in one of the public rooms) and then selecting invite. You can send them a message with the password or whatever you want.

Also, if you want the room visible, simply choose Public, but Password protect it. Then you don't have to invite anyone. They would just have to know the password to get in. That goes for me as well. If I do not know the password, I cannot get in.

I didn't know about the public thing. That is cool too. I like the fact that others can't see your private room. This could avoid conflict when someone enters the chat and then gets pissed when no one will give them the password for the created room.
