Richard Allan Cassady, 49, is a Tier-2 sex offender and was previously convicted in Washoe County and in Pennsylvania for possessing child pornography, records show.
Detective Dennis Carry said Cassady had been posing as a 13-year-old girl on Myspace.com looking for young girls to befriend. So far, detectives were not sure if he had contacted any, and are still investigating.

Also arrested was Richard Allen Lancaster, 51, whose listed address is in the 8700 block of Wrondel Way, in Reno. The local taxi driver was booked on three counts of possession of child pornography and distribution. He remained jailed in lieu of $47,000
