Thomas Alan Lucking, 24, was arrested Friday morning and is expected to make his first court appearance on the charge Oct. 26.

A court complaint charging Lucking indicates that an 8-month-old girl was seen Oct. 12 at St. Cloud Hospital with new and old bleeding on her brain. The girl had bruises on her face, back and finger, and doctors noted an injury to her tongue despite the fact that she didn’t yet have any teeth.

Doctors also noticed a small acute subdural hemorrhage consistent with a history of severe trauma or abuse, according to the court complaint, and hemorrhages in the eyes.

Based on the injury to the child’s brain, she will be developmentally delayed, the complaint quotes doctors as saying.

Officers learned that the girl was in the custody and care of Lucking when she sustained the injuries, according to the complaint.

I understand he had custody of baby at this time....wtf? where was mom, and IF she saw baby at all during her stay there, did mom not see any of these injuries or notice ANYTHING odd about baby? cannot help but ask as I just noticed every tiny thing on my baby at that age. Poor sweet child.

I hope this fucker is beat well in prison as to leave permanent damage to him. This baby will have developmental delays due to her injuries, fucker deserves severe lashings! I'm on a fucker kick so fuckity hell to all baby beaters!

I wish I could even get a grasp on child abuse. I understand the frustrated feelings and anxiety - we all do that have children, but never, ever have I lost control. That line between feeling like you could scream and actually doing physical harm to your child - where does the ability to cross it come from?

I've made plenty of parenting mistakes, I've made one or two I'll never forgive myself for - but I have always been able to walk away and count to ten when it comes to becoming physical.

And THIS? To smash a child's chin into her mouth??? What is that? And he wants another CHANCE? He doesn't even love the child enough to stay away?

None of you knows what happened that terrible morning! I agree he is worthless, but mom is a good person always took baby to doctor!!!! The dad did it.......... Dont be quick to judge people.... Baby is doing great!!!! She is loved by everyone....He is getting punished by the law for what he did.

Okay for one Jazlin is doing great. For two Thomas had took jazlin over night to his mothers house & Jazlins mom did not go with. Jazlins mom got a call the next morning saying goto the hospital and that what she did. Jazlin didnt have recent signs of abuse. Every time Jazlins mom saw a scratch or even diaper rash she would take Jazlin to the doctors or hospital. Instead of assuming stuff you should really know what actually happened. Im not going to be commenting back on this at all because it shows me how easy it is for people to jump to conclusions. If you really want to know what happened why don't you ask Jazlins mother!

Summer we aren't assuming anything. We are getting this information from credible news sources. So go cry to them about their facts if they are incorrect. Glad you say the baby is doing great, though I cannot see her not having ANY lasting effects of this ongoing abuse/trauma to her little body.
And I doubt every time Jazlins Mom saw a "scratch" or diaper rash she took her to the hospital.....thats a little over the top. CHILD ABUSE on the other hand, like the shaking, slamming, squeezing her and cutting off her air supply by shoving her face into a pillow.....yea THAT shit should have prompted a nice little trip to the ER!

Until permanent damage is inflicted on him, we aren't really talking the same level of punishment now are we.

I smell bullshit. Scratches and Diaper Rash should never send parents to the doctor or hospital first. There is a reason they have creams out there.
