No charges will be filed
in the weekend death of a Springdale child.
A police investigation into the death of Adrian Manrriquez
determined the fatality was an accident, according to a news release from Sgt. Shane Pegram, public information officer for the Springdale Police Department.
The case was referred to the city attorney's office, which decided no charge will be filed, according to the release.
Adrian, 22 months old, died Saturday after he was struck by a 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by his brother. The brother, 12-year-old Juan Manrriquez Jr., was moving the van so he could play basketball in the driveway

The van struck Adrian, who was playing behind the vehicle, according to the report. Juan Jr. was not aware of the location of his brother.
After Adrian was struck, Juan Manrriquez Sr. came outside and attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation until paramedics arrived, according to the report.
