April 2, 2008 -- A Brooklyn carpenter hacked his wife and his friend to death in a drunken rage yesterday, cops said.
Angel Valentine, who had been thrown out of his apartment by his wife, Iris Cuadrado, returned to the Sheepshead Bay flat at around 9:50 a.m. to collect his belongings.
There, he found Cuadrado, 47, and Wilfredo "Flo" Suarez, a friend who had been staying with the couple.
Valentine, 36, drunkenly argued with his wife before stabbing Cuadrado and Suarez in a frenzy that left blood splattered throughout the apartment.
Despite the severity of the violence, there was little noise.
"I heard no argument. No screaming," said Lola Simms, 32, who lives near the couple in the Nostrand Houses project.
As Valentine hacked at his wife, Suarez frantically sent a text message to a relative saying Cuadrado was dead and asking the relative to call the police, a law-enforcement source said.
Cops arrived to find Cuadrado dead of chest wounds and Suarez, 24, clinging to life with wounds to his neck, face and back of his head. They were taken to Coney Island Hospital, where Cuadrado was pronounced dead on arrival and Suarez died several hours later.
