The other occurred Sunday night in the 200 block of 24th Ave. W. where the victim said after asking her ex-boyfriend to watch their child the next day so that she could interview for a job he became angry, started cursing and yelling at her and then began punching her in the face and on the head. In the process, she was knocked to the ground while still holding the child.
The victim said the attack was witnessed by a crowd of people none of whom came to her rescue. After the attack, she said the offender stood around before finally departing the area.
In addition to an already outstanding battery warrant issued against him, Montgomery said he is now seeking warrants charging Rodriguez Curtis with battery (family violence) and third degree cruelty to children.
