AUGUSTA, Ga.---An Augusta woman was arrested for handcuffing a child to a table and hitting him for misbehaving at school.

Latashious Unique Tart is charged with first degree cruelty to children.

According to the incident report, a neighbor heard the seven-year-old boy screaming. When deputies arrived they found the boy being disciplined by Tart.

The report states that the child had welts, and abrasions on his back, legs, arms, and behind from being hit with a belt.

The boy was taken to the hospital to be treated.

I can understand being frustrated by your child's behavior because trust me my son with ADHD acts horribly at times, but she went too far..... damn. The NBC Augusta site says this was her nephew and that he was naked and beaten and also that he was 8 not 7.

WTF?!?!?! That is Horrendous!!!!!! And Naked too?? For me that makes it even worse - it's so degrading, humiliating. Think that boy will ever forget being handcuffed and beaten naked? No he won't. I'd like to strip her and humiliate and degrade this TART - give her a beating...and do you think that the law will make the punishment fit the crime? Somehow I don't think so - hopefully someone like big Bertha in prison/jail will punish her tho.. :)

Ugh. Practice. If she can do this to her nephew, then she can do much worse to her own kids. Let's hope she doesn't have any in the near future.

Apparently the mother was at work at the time. Who knows if the mother knew what was going on. If it was my kid, I'd know immediately. I can only imagine how alone that kid feels. That mother may act all awesome at parenting now, but the type of welts/bruises that child has (enough to be sent to be checked out at a hospital) had to of gone unnoticed for a LONG time.

You don't just start with stripping a kid and beating with a belt. You work up to that. Spanking, nose on the wall, time-outs. So not only is she going to keep escalating, she also DID escalate to get to this point.
