Tiffany Palinsky ,Bay area woman accused of trying to sell baby to two families

RIVERVIEW, FL --

A 21-year-old Riverview woman tried to turn a profit off her unborn child, Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies said. They've charged Tiffany Palinsky with Organized Fraud, Grand Theft, Petit Theft and Sale of a Minor Child.

According to deputies, Palinsky went to a Town `n Country adoption agency in June and offered her unborn baby for adoption. The agency, Adoption Miracles paid Palinsky approximately $1500 for expenses like housing, food and health care.

Deputies claim Palinsky went to Brandon Family Law Center, in Brandon, a week later and offered the same baby for adoption. That agency paid Palinsky $835.00. Law Center director Mary Greenwood told ABC Action News.com, "I smelled a rat because she (Palinsky) was answering questions with answers that didn't make sense." Greenwood called other adoption agencies and learned Palinsky allegedly made a deal with at least one other agency.

Sheriff's deputies have not released any information about the baby. However ABC Action News.com has learned the baby was born late last month and was placed with a family.

she looks so young and hopeless; probably trying to survive the best way she could think of. sad that she would do that, sad that she felt it was her best (or maybe only) chance for survival, sad that she had no loving support system. or maybe she is a con artist. i don't know. the look on her face, in her eyes, just touched me. but then i am a notorious sucker for thrown-away kids, stray dogs and homeless kittens...and blind squirrels, three-legged raccoons, elderly pets that are "too much trouble" now that they're old, oh, and diabetic cats.

Pretty far in rural TN where rent on a two bedroom apartment if $350-500/month.

She could get the state healthcare for free and if she shops at discount stores she could easily feed herself with a couple hundred dollars (provided she cooks)

It was $1500 and then $835 ($2,335).

The mother looks like a lost child. Maybe she just wanted the baby to go to the highest bidder.

I don't understand why she would go too two places seeking a adoptive family and then even accept any financial help.My friend in high school gave her baby too a wonderful married couple when we were in high school.She got assistance from social services for food/medical/housing,It was more than enough.When the baby was born it was wonderful that we were all there and when it was time for her too leave the husband tried too give my friend a check for whatever and she would not accept it.All she wanted she told him was for her baby too live a happy life...10 years later once a year we go too his birthday party :)He really does too.We cry at how great he is on our car ride home.That is the best compensation any one could get.I don't know what the chicks intentions were but at least the baby will have a shot at happiness now.

You know I saw the same thing in her eyes. Lost, looks more like 12 than 20. Your such a kind soul carolina. Hopeless is right. I'm just glad baby wasn't found dead in the dumpster.

She's not that sophisticated, really, just look at her, still wet behind the ears, nah, she wasn't up to more than getting rid of baby and making a buck at the same time.

I'm glad she's not a baby killer. That's what ultimately matters here, she could have disposed of baby and she didn't. Maybe there is hope for her yet.

I don't know, I look at her face and she looks unhappy sure. But maybe she is unhappy because all of that "free" money she received from the adoption agencies she was scamming will have to go for bail money. This type of scam artist just pisses me off so bad! So many couples cannot have babies and are just waiting for years on end for a baby and jackasses like this run around dangling a real baby in front of them only to snatch it back at the last second. So cruel...

She looks more child than woman. She wasn't considering anyone's feelings or any kind of personal repercussions, she was simply playing a game.
At this point, one of two things will happen. She'll get a slap on the wrist and wake the hell up to see that this is no way to live her life. Or she'll get a slap on the wrist and go on to be the type of woman that loves games and drama and makes a hell of the lives of all those around her. I'm betting the latter, but we'll see.
