Daniel G. Seguerre III was arrested Sunday night at his home in Hilo. He was arraigned in U.S District Court in Honolulu yesterday afternoon and said he will not oppose a federal motion to detain him without bail.

Two minor children were in the home with Seguerre when he was arrested, but Olson declined to discuss that aspect of the case.

Toni Schwartz, spokeswoman with the state Department of Human Services, said last night that the children have been placed in foster care and are safe.

Olson said the investigation began last week with information from authorities in Oklahoma who "turned up some videos" while serving a search warrant. Oklahoma officials passed on investigative leads to Hawai'i law enforcement officials, Olson said

A preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for Sept. 22, but Seguerre may be subject to a grand jury indictment before that time.

On Oct. 17, 2007, he was found guilty of one count of second-degree theft and second-degree forgery and was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, according to records filed with the Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center. Seguerre also was placed on five years' probation.

In July 2008, Seguerre was found guilty of fourth-degree theft and was ordered to pay a $100 fine.

According to the affidavit, a man believed to be Seguerre is seen molesting a young boy. The boy is screaming and crying, apparently in pain.

In another incident. The man is seen removing the diaper from a young girl. The girl is crying throughout the video. The girl is heard asking for her mother saying, "mommy." According to sources, the mother of the children worked several jobs. Seguerre was their babysitter.

If it's on video and pictures, why the need for a Grand jury???

The affidavit reveals details in an alleged assault of another young girl who appears to be under the age of five. She complies with his instructions and then she says she wants more candy.

The male can be heard saying, "Everybody look in there (referring to the camera) and say that was fun."


According to the affidavit, a photo of two children sitting with Seguerre on his Facebook page are the same children in the videos and a young boy on his lap on his MySpace page was also on one of the videos.

A Big Island man accused of making child porn and sharing it online may have victimized kids before. We hear from a young relative who says Daniel Seguerre molested him and other children for two years. KGMB9's Tina Chau has more.

This video is heartbreaking, this child told his grandmother, she reported Seguerre and the Police and DA dropped the ball. The abuse began when this child was only 4 years old, he told when he was 6, he is now 12. I don't want to think about how many children he viciously abused....

Trina Marie Ormeno, 27, was a doting mother of three.

She had made plans to spend time with her kids on Saturday, but was found dead in her apartment with a gunshot wound in her lower chest.

"I don't know why she got to leave like this," said her ex-husband, George Ormeno. "Part of me, part of my kids is just gone. I love her all my heart. She was a good person."

He is trying to help their children -- Jasmin, 7, Keoki, 5, and Joel, 3 -- understand what happened.

"They're still in shock."

Ormeno, a native of Peru, met Trina Ormeno in Honolulu about nine years ago and married her five years later. A Big Island native, she came to Honolulu about 10 years ago and worked as a paralegal before becoming a housewife with the couple's first child.

Other survivors include brother Daniel Seguerre III, mother Elizabeth Lani Holt-Butler and father Daniel Seguerre Jr.

It was ruled a suicide, though!!

Who could have killed a 27-year-old mother inside her Kaimuki apartment? That was a big question a couple months ago. But medical examiners now confirmed that it was suicide and not murder Monday. Trina Ormeno was found dead in her Kaimuki apartment on Aug. 3. Medical examiners said she died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. Police have now closed the homicide investigation into the death of Ormeno after the medical examiner's findings.

Another pedo(in Texas) found after Seguerres arrest, by forensic examination of the computers, arrested and pleaded guilty!!

A 26-year-old Bedford father pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to taking lewd pictures of himself in sexual situations with his preschool-age daughters and sending them to another man.

Thomas James Murphy III faces between 13 and 15 years in prison and up to a quarter-million-dollar fine when he is sentenced by U.S. District Judge Terry Means on April 12 in Fort Worth.

FBI agents encountered Murphy through another child porn investigation involving a Hawaii man, Daniel Seguerre, records show.

In June, an undercover FBI agent in Maryland discovered someone she later identified as Seguerre trafficking in child porn on a peer-to-peer Internet network. The FBI says its investigation revealed that Seguerre appeared to be bribing his own children with candy in order to get them to cooperate in the sexually explicit videos, court documents show.

In October, agents in Hawaii analyzed Seguerre's computer and found child pornography from a man named Tommy, later identified as Murphy in Bedford. Court documents say that Seguerre told agents that Murphy was making child porn using his own daughters.

Authorities later determined that Murphy's girls were under the age of 3 when he videotaped himself sexually abusing them.

"This is a sad and tragic family matter," said Murphy's attorney, Michael Heiskell. "My client has been totally cooperative during the investigation and is truly remorseful for the role he played."

Seguerre has pleaded not guilty to a charge of sexual exploitation of children and is set for trial in Hawaii late next month.

I try not to paint lawyers with a broad brush, and I love that we do have defense. However, assholes like this should be locked up with their clients for just being pieces of fucking trash who are not defending their clients justly, but making it seem that the bad deed is the prosecution of their monstrous actions.

Seguerre testified before Kurren that the children were his friend's children

He is scheduled to be sentenced before U.S. District Judge David Ezra on June 7.

A 27-year-old McCully man faces multiple mandatory-minimum prison terms of 15 years each after pleading guilty in federal court yesterday to three counts of production of child pornography.

Daniel Guerro Seguerre III also faces a mandatory 10-year term after also pleading guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography, and fines of up to $250,000 on each of the child porn production charges.

Federal Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren told Seguerre that he could be sentenced to a maximum of 30 years on each of the pornography production charges and up to 10 years on the possession charge, with a possibility that all of the sentences could be made to run consecutively.

When asked by Kurren to explain the basis of the crime he was pleading guilty to, Seguerre said: "I took pictures of my friend's kids in sexual poses, and I traded them online."

I'll be watching to see what kind of sentence this perv receives, along with praying for Seguerre IIIs demise while serving his time!! He was not offered any plea agreement!!
