Gonna hold judgement on this one. There's some pretty depraved women out there, so I could believe it, sick as it is. I've also known some pretty vicious 15 year old little bastards in my time, too.

this is very disturbing and bizarre, but unfortunately not unheard of. there was a BBC America documentary on at the beginning of the summer called Brothers and Sisters in Love that was all about "genetic sexual attraction". it had two brother and sister couples(one couple had four severely disabled children, caused by the incest), one older brother and sister who met in their 50's and felt attraction they didn't act upon, and in the most deeply disturbing segment, a mother and adult son, who had been adopted. there is no information on the BBC America website and it doesn't appear to be on Youtube. this was the most information i could find about it from a quick google search:

this is a really disturbing story, and though it could be possible that there is some major information missing or problem with the case, it could also be just as it says. and from what's been shown so far and what she was charged with, this could be an incestuous abusive sick woman. if her son has emotional and mental issues, maybe that makes him the vulnerable one here, and she may have exploited that. i don't see why that would excuse her or be a red flag that it's his fault. if this wasn't about this woman coercing or forcing him into sex, why would this have been reported and investigated as it was, with her being charged with criminal sexual conduct? if this had been his idea, why the charges? i don't see that here. it looks like she's the problem, and rightfully charged.

also, the second story with the comments supporting her are not a new news story, but visitor comments from the original news story. comments by her friends saying she's innocent may not be worth much as evidence for her defence. these are people who know her that are trying to defend her, and when people like that come and leave supportive comments on any of the stories here it's NOT seen as something showing they're probably innocent.

anyone who's been here for a while (most of us in the thread) has seen sexually abusive mothers, and defenders of the people featured in threads or stories. what's different here? yes, there is something especially disturbing when it's the mom accused of this, and it's hard to imagine. none of that means it doesn't happen. i don't expect this story to have any bombshells or turn into something else. this looks like a horrible and disturbing crime from a strange, sick woman. it's awful and sad and probably happened more or less as they said it did. and whatever issues that kid had before, now he especially needs help and i hope that he gets it.

As I said when I was 27 a girl I had grown up with found her brother they had been given up for adoption.Both were married and had kids.They decided to meet(lived about 400 miles apart) and met a couple more times and all of a sudden they ran off together!I do remember police being involved but I dont remember exactly why,I think the brothers wife reported them but I cant say for sure I dont remember.The last I heard they had split but they had been back and forth and I remember thinking I was going to turn Geraldo or Sally on one day and see them on there.They both lost their kids I have no clue where they are anymore.Kathys husband moved by me into the city for the kids sake b/c a town under 3000 you know the kids would be the one to suffer.They have no contact with her,they are my kids age so young adults now and old enough to decide what they want to do.

"I'm at a loss for words because it's something that we consider to be so out of the normal, so prohibited in every culture that it unnerves every man just to think about it."

“This could be his first sexual experience, and his first sexual experience could be something so conflicted, so unusual, so prohibited that it will stay with him for life," Dr Shiener said.

Sounds like an Oedipus Complex Reverso. The real kicker for me is she TRACKED him down. If it's all true and she did have sex with him, then she deserves everything the law can throw at her. If not and the boy is trying to manipulate the system in an act of revenge, he deserves the same fate. He has fucked with her reputation and her life for the sake of revenge.

BTW, as one who has grown up with a Bi-Polar cousin (younger), I can tell you they are capable of just about anything and it would not surprise me if at least some of this was the boy's fabrication. Even as young as 10yrs old, my cousin would invent some of the most outrageous stories about my uncle and aunt because he knew LE would listen. All of the stories were eventually debunked, but they caused a lot of heartache in the meantime. My aunt and uncle will always have my deepest respect, because they never gave up or gave up my cousin. Today he is doing well and has a wonderful family of his own. He freely admits to what he did and is truely repentent for it. He said that at the time though, it made sense to say and do whatever he could to get what he wanted.

On the day her trial was to begin, a Waterford Township woman accused of having sex with the teenage son she gave up for adoption years earlier entered a guilty plea.

Aimee Louise Sword, 36, was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Under a plea bargain, she pleaded guilty this morning to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Assistant Prosecutor Nicki Weisberger moved to dismiss the other charges.

Defense attorney Mitchell Ribitwer said Sword has accepted responsibility for her conduct and wanted to spare the teen any further trauma from having to testify during a trial.

Waterford Township mother will spend at least nine years in prison for having sex with the 14-year-old son she gave up for adoption when he was a few days old.
It’s a very tragic case, and I’m concerned for the welfare of this young boy and what it may have done to his psyche and his future,” Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper said today after the sentencing for Aimee Louise Sword, 36. “It’s the first time I’ve really seen something like that between a mother-son. But I have seen it unfortunately many times between a father-daughter.
Sword had been getting updates and a picture from the boy’s adoptive family in Grand Rapids every year, Sword’s Royal Oak lawyer Mitchell Ribitwer said. But when she didn’t get a picture when the boy turned 14 in 2008, she contacted him herself online through a social networking site.
“When she saw this boy, something just touched off in her -- and it wasn’t a mother-son relationship, it was a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship,” Ribitwer said, after Sword apologized for her actions in Oakland County Circuit Court today. “Aimee’s searching for a reason why this happened. She can’t understand it. She’s going to get some counseling.”
Originally charged with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, the former Macy’s makeup counter clerk pleaded guilty to having sex with the boy once. Investigators say they had sex once in a Grand Rapids hotel and also at homes in Waterford.

After the boy got into trouble in Grand Rapids, his adoptive mother – not knowing about the relationship – agreed to allow him to stay with Sword in Waterford. Married at the time, Sword shared her home with her husband and five other children, toddlers to late teens.

UPDATE: Aimee Sword apologized and pleaded guilty at sentencing Monday. She will serve at least 9 years in prison.

Someone said she gave up her child at age 5.
Terribly sad, but I wonder what was going on the circumstances and if she had other children.
Giving up a child at that age would be really fucked up for the kid but obviously, the woman has big, twisted issues. To then track him down a decade later to screw his life up even more. wicked. lock her up and forget about her.
