Detectives in Orange County have arrested a Deltona man on charges of having sex with a 12-year-old Clearwater girl while the family vacationed at the Disney Fort Wilderness Resort in May.

Jean C. Garcia, 29, was arrested late Wednesday night on charges of sexual battery and lewd or lascivious battery, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Police in Clearwater told Orange County authorities in June that the girl, who had then turned 13, told her foster mother she thought she was pregnant after having sex with a 29-year-old man she met at the resort when her family was there on vacation in late May.

The girl did not know the man's name but he gave her a business card with a phone number, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators used a sheriff's office crime analyst as a decoy to call Garcia to say her family was returning to the resort and set up another meeting on Sept. 3, the arrest affidavit said.

Deputies arrested Garcia when he showed up at the campground, the sheriff's office said.

See, this is why I don't do the amusement park thing. It's too hard to watch the kids all the time with all those people around. Until they come up with a retinal scan for pedophilia, I will stay away from everything bigger than the county fair. I hope the kid recovers. No word that I saw on whether or not she was actually pregnant. I hope not. That's just a wee bit young.
