Vanessa Luevanos' five year old daughter was raped;she tried to hide it

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Three people are in jail after the alleged rape of a 5-year-old girl, including the accused rapist, his mother and his girlfriend.

Police said a 17-year-old man sexually assaulted the child last month at a family home in southwest Albuquerque.

Vanessa Luevanos, 23, is the 5-year-old's mother. She and Sherry Archuleta, 43, are accused of conspiring to hide the attack on the child.

Even though the child was bleeding and complained she was in pain, Luevanos and Archuleta tried to keep it a secret, according to the criminal complaint.

Luevanos was visually upset when the judge continued her bond Saturday in court.

Archuleta's $50,000 bond was also continued.

The rape suspect was arrested and booked into the Bernalillo County Juvenile Detention Center.

It is some kind of appeal or something that a man named louie archuleta from new mexico, who is incarcerated, filed trying to get a new trial or something.

A jury convicted Archuleta of incest and criminal sexual penetration.

Archuleta also claimed that the trial testimony of the victim, Sherry Archuleta, was coached by whispered instructions from the prosecutor and trial judge, perhaps through a hidden microphone. He has abandoned that theory on appeal.

I am working on this story right now and I am trying to find if I can even legally identify the asshat baby raper because he is a juvenile.
