Suprise!!! meet my new Boyfriend as she locks the door, trapping him inside the apartment. Damn that was ruthless as hell, wonder what the Ex-GF was so pissed about??

An Athens man has been charged with second-degree assault for allegedly beating a man with a baseball bat, an official said today. Athens Police arrested Jason Earl Appleton, 32, of 1514 Brownsferry St. Thursday night in connection with the assault, said Capt. Marty Bruce.

"The 35-year-old victim was invited to 716 Swan Drive to see his ex-girlfriend," Bruce said. "When he entered the apartment, his ex-girlfriend locked the door," Appleton came out of a closet with a baseball bat and struck the victim 21 times before the victim could get the door unlocked and get back to his vehicle. Appleton struck the victim several more times as the victim was getting into his vehicle."

Appleton was transferred to the Limestone County Jail.

No bond has been set.

Appleton is accused of coming out of a closet with a baseball bat when the victim entered the woman's apartment, then chasing him from the home while repeatedly striking him.

Funny thing is , its pretty hard for someone to whack you with a bat if you get right next to them. Its much better to rush them and take one hit than a shit load of them running away. Especially after the bitch locked your ass in. I am pretty sure she had tons of things to grab and throw or hit back with. At that point I would have absolutely no problems trashing out her apartment. Or even grabbing her and useing her as a shield.

The way I figure it is, the Ex-GF went to all that trouble to set you up and locks you in a room with a crazy dude with a bat. She is just as much a participant in the beating as the dude with the bat is. She probly egged the dude into doing it. She is fair game at that point.
