A nine-month-old baby drowned in the bath after her mother left her unattended while she made a birthday card, an inquest heard yesterday.
Mia Moroz Foster toppled out of a bath seat and was found face-down in the water by her horrified mother Elwira Moroz.
She had been left alone in the bathroom while Elwira, 32, worked on a birthday card for Mia's father, Nigel Foster, on the computer in a bedroom next door.
The inquest heard how the tot had been
left alone in the seat before and her mother believed it was safe.

The water was
16ins deep and the height of the bath seat, which was firmly fixed to the base of the tub, was
18ins.
After finding her daughter's lifeless body, Elwira fished her out of the water and put her on the lounge floor before calling her husband for help.
Nigel, 29,
rushed home from his job at Forest Green Rovers Football Club with a colleague but could not resuscitate his daughter.
Mia was taken to Gloucester Royal Hospital by ambulance but attempts to resuscitate her failed and she was pronounced dead at 8.53pm.
Dr Phillip Cox, conducting the post-mortem examination, recorded that there was a 'frothy secretion in the lungs and airways' of the child.
He recorded that his findings were 'consistent with freshwater drowning'.
