Vincent Riojas Left The Cyclist To Die In His Car

A 59-year-old man died Saturday night after he was found in the back seat of a vehicle parked next to a home in Grand Prairie.

Police were called to the 400 block of Northeast 38th Street about 9 p.m. and found the critically injured Ronnie Monroe Keller lodged in the back seat of a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier.

Keller, who had been riding a bike, had been struck head-on by the vehicle, police said Monday. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Keller's body struck the windshield, went over the top and crashed through the back window before coming to rest partially lodged in the back seat of the car, police said.

Police arrested 27-year-old Vincent Paul Riojas, who was hiding under a parked vehicle in the area.

Riojas, who police believe was intoxicated at the time of the crash, was east on Main Street, near downtown Grand Prairie, when he drifted across the center lane and collided head-on with Keller's bike, investigators said.

Riojas then hid his Cavalier near his Northeast 38th Street home, less than a mile from the crash scene, before fleeing on foot, police said.

Riojas' relatives discovered Keller's body and called police.

Police are waiting on a toxicology report to determine Riojas' blood-alcohol level at the time of the crash.

Riojas was taken to the Grand Prairie Jail and charged with intoxication manslaughter, resisting arrest and failure to stop and render aid. He was also wanted on an unrelated felony warrant.

He remained in the Grand Prairie Jail on a $150,000 bond.

Ugh. Remember when that one girl did about the same thing? She was drunk and hit a pedestrian and he lodged through her windshield. She took the car home and left the guy in her windshield while he begged her to get help. She'd parked the car in the garage and apparently went in and out over the next few days while he slowly died.

I always thought that was probably about the stupidest thing I'd ever heard--but here's another one. Drunk driving is one thing, but if these idiots had gotten help for their victims they'd not face homicide charges probably.

Grand Prairie police have arrested a 27-year-old man after authorities found a critically injured bicyclist partially lodged in the back seat of his car.

Ronnie Monroe Kellar, 59, was later pronounced dead at an area hospital. The driver of the vehicle, Vincent Paul Riojas, 27, was arrested and jailed on charges of intoxication manslaughter, resisting arrest, and failure to stop and render aid.
Kellar was found in the back seat of the car about 9:20 p.m. Saturday, while it was parked next to a home in the 400 block of Northeast 38th Street where Riojas lives. Police said that Kellar had been hit by Riojas’ 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier a short while earlier on Main Street after Riojas’ car drifted across the roadway and collided with Kellar’s bicycle.

Kellar struck the windshield, went over the top and crashed through the back window before partially lodging in the back seat of the car. Police say Riojas left the scene and attempted to hide the damaged car in the side yard of his residence. His relatives found the body in the car and phoned police.
"Ronnie didn’t deserve that," said Billie Kellar, Ronnie Kellar’s sister. "He was well known all over this neighborhood. I mean, you could’ve filled a church with all the people that loved him."

Way to go drunk Fucktard! How stupid is this Fucktard to park the car next to his own damn home? Did you think people would not notice the dead body hanging out the back window?

And what is the deal with people in the DFW mid-cities running over people and leaving the body hanging out of their cars? Same thing happened last year when a woman ran over a guy and parked her car in the garage for a couple days while the guy died.

Rest in peace Ronnie, you deserved better than this.
