SALT LAKE CITY - A listing submitted to the classified ads section of KUTV.com is being investigated by authorities because it listed a six-month-old baby "for sale" -- for a price of $6,500.

The ad, which was submitted on Mar. 22, appeared on the classified ads section for only a short while before KUTV.com noticed and removed it. The ad was offering a six-month-old child -- listed as "used," but "beautifule and affectionate with so much love to offer."

The price for the child was listed at $6,560.

The Salt Lake City Police Department and the Utah Division of Child and Family Services were immediately notified by KUTV upon discovery of the ad. As of Tuesday, authorities continued to investigate the incident but were still unsure whether the ad was legitimate -- or a prank.

The ad was traced to a Pauline Burgman, of Salt Lake City -- who authorities attempted to identify. It was not immediately known whether Burgman is a real person or a false identity used to create the ad.

Well they say you can buy just about anything on Ebay nowadays..... There are times when I want to sell my 14 year old. My dad said that I would have to make sure that I said no refunds in the ad..... He said that whoever bought him would return him becuase he was "defective".....LOL :D

But then again, what 14 year old boy isn't in some way.

Oh man... if this isn't a hoax, is it legal to "sell a baby" or more legal to "buy a baby"? My daughter could use a playmate.
