I'm a member of her family.. Am mostly in hiding from media, but obsessed with crawling the internets about this story. Not willing to do interviews at the moment, just watching this play out from my computer

It's a really shitty "I told you so" because there were a couple of us that pegged this before she ever got pregnant again, but there was NOTHING we could do but watch it happen. You can't charge someone with a crime before they commit it. I wish I had been wrong!
The father is a doctor.
http://www.oregonlive.com/washington...by_is_ide.html
]Washington County authorities released the name of the father whose infant daughter was given an overdose of morphine by the girl's mother in an effort to get his attention.
The father is Dr. Wallace Lai, 43, a cardiologist with a practice in Hillsboro and a home in Southwest Portland.
Munchausux..do you know why the baby has not been released to the father?
Am I reading the comments correctly..he was her boss and the baby is from an affair?
Yes he was her boss, his wife doesn't speak english, and he had NO intention of being there for the baby, except financially which is why she's in foster care. He doesn't want his wife to know (good luck with that) so was never going to devote himself to Sarah or their kid.
On top of that, I've been hearing she had several unnecessary surgeries, including a defibrillator installed in her heart! I wonder if this baby daddy also did that since he's a cardiologist? If so, he's fucked professionally if she was able to scam him into open heart surgery! She created many medical emergencies for herself while in California, prior to becoming pregnant and during her pregnancy, in some pretty disturbing ways. From what I hear, her treating doc in Cali was fired because of it
I wish he'd step up. He's the baby's dad after all, but the doosh seems content letting his baby daughter live in foster care.
This is what people fell in love with, this is the bright sunny girl who fools them all![]()
I wouldn't doubt it... more like a true crime story on investigation discovery tho, because some of the facts are too much for Lifetime's sensibilities
She's somewhere between The Dragon Lady from Misery and Diane Downs, albeit early in her career. I can see her working with the elderly and "helping" them, the poor dears. *shudder*
Hopefully she'll be up the river long enough for her ovaries to dry up and her looks to fade because it's harder to get away with stuff then
This is baby#2.. she's the most precious and wonderful tiny bean in the world, and I cannot imagine in my worst nightmares how little humanity a person has to have in order to hurt her. This proves the mental illness to me, regardless of what people say. I know MBP is a "method of abuse" and not a recognized defensible illness, but jesus, look at her!

Thanks so much for all your insight and information, Munchausux ..![]()
it's a shitty situation, and i've been a little nuts here at my house in the middle of nowhere with nobody to talk to about this. Had to share with someone, and this site seemed enough off the beaten path that it would be safe for me to speak.
Thanks for the warm reception!
Did she get visitation with her son or were her rights terminated? Do you get to see the little boy?
Oh and what does her ex think if you speak to him? was he shocked or expected it?

Thanks so much for finding us. Munchausen in particular has always horrified me - I can't imagine what you're going through with having it brought into your life.it's a shitty situation, and i've been a little nuts here at my house in the middle of nowhere with nobody to talk to about this. I am so glad that both of these babies are safe now.
you think you're god's gift
you're a liar...
I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire

Sara Rose Dillard-Lubin, 25
Washington County Sheriff's Office, says on June 3, 2009, 25-year-old Sara Rose Dillard-Lubin took her then two-month-old daughter to the emergency room at St. Vincent's Hospital claiming that her daughter had a high fever.
"Although the doctors were unable to find any signs of the fever they were cautious and admitted the infant for observation overnight," Thompson said. "Early the next morning, on June 4th, a nurse on her scheduled rounds found the infant and the mother presumably asleep in the hospital room. The nurse took the vital signs of the child and was alarmed to find the child barely breathing with a low heart rate."
Thompson says the nurse immediately called for assistance and the child was eventually transported to Doernbecher's Children's Hospital and admitted to the critical care unit. He says, "The young girl survived because of the prompt attention she received at the hospital."
"Doctors were puzzled as to the cause of the child's sudden medical condition. Four days later they got their answer when the toxicology tests came back positive for opiates." Upon discovering the drug in the child's system, doctors asked Ms. Dillard-Lubin how that could have happened, Thompson said.
"Ms. Dillard-Lubin told the hospital that she was on a pain killer for a medical condition and the opiates must have come through her breast milk. When she brought in a sample for them to test, they found a high amount of morphine in the milk, indicating that it had been added after she extracted it from her body."http://www.salem-news.com/articles/a...ng_8-13-09.phpIn a very similar situation, Ms. Dillard-Lubin used morphine to create a medical emergency. The child was flown to UCLA Medical Center and survived.
He was taken from Ms. Dillard-Lubin and custody was eventually given to the father, who is not the same father of the infant girl in the Washington County Case.
Ms. Dillard-Lubin was sentenced to four to six months in jail and when she was released she transferred her probation to Oregon. Up until the time of her arrest, Ms. Dillard-Lubin worked as a medical assistant for Oregon Pediatrics. She has minimal medical training and is not a licensed nurse. Wednesday, Ms. Dillard-Lubin was indicted on several charges stemming from the assault on her child. She was arraigned today at 10:30 a.m. at the main court house located at 150 N. 1st Avenue.
Some people are like Slinkies. They aren’t really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

She was trying to fake the sample to prove that it was in her breastmilk, not thinking that its going to be obvious it wasn't metabolized. This is one of the often misread parts of the original press release. We don't know how she applied the morphine to the baby at the ER, whether injection, liquid, etc. I'm going to ask her if she allows me a visit.
*Side note*
She's wearing MY shirt in her damn mugshot. I have been looking for that:(

I dont think skank wash's out of clothes. I wouldnt ask for it back if I was you.![]()

She used to have visitation, has seen #1 approx 3 times in 4 years. Never again, and I mean NEVER again. Daddy #1 was on the news last night being all dramatic. Everyone has to have their 15 minutes:/ Personally I'd rather wait til Larry King asks my opinion and not just toss it out there so easily. I've been dealing with this since she was 14! Part of the story no one knows is that she wasn't always a monster. She wasn't born a sociopath, I'm sure of it.
She had some actual medical issues at 12 that I truely believe fried her frontal lobe, which is where the emotions and things that make us human reside.
From that point on she became a mimic, not a human. She's very good at telling people what they want to hear but she simply does not have the capacity for emotion like we do. It's tragic and sadly may not give her a defense in court.
You are welcome to all who thanked me, I'm glad I was able to settle in here and share my story in a less frenzied environment!
can i be anal for a second?
she was actually practicing munchausen by proxy, i believe.
Baby boy #1, before all this. He's growing up big and strong, and will not know what she did to him until he's old enough to handle it, if ever. Daddy#1 is a wonderful guy who was duped by a pathological liar, long before she ever became pregnant. We keep in touch, but I still resent the hell out of Sarah for cheating me out of the chance to be a part of his life. For a chance at a normal life for him, I'll take that hit.

I haven't found video but here is what the ex had to say:
http://www.katu.com/news/local/53305962.html"My son got sick, stopped breathing one day, was rushed to the hospital at which point they found morphine in his system," Lubin told KATU News.
Lubin said that, several years ago, he had a sad realization that his son wouldn't be the only victim.
"I kind of expected something like this to come up again in the future," Lubin said. "I didn't necessarily know how long it was going to take."
He said that he believes Dillard is "still the same person she was five years ago when she did this the first time."
And though Lubin said he feels safer now that his ex-wife is back in jail, he hopes the authorities step in to prevent yet another re-offense.
"She needs to be constantly monitored," Lubin said. "She needs to be put away so she can't hurt anyone else, specifically little children."
You'd at least think she'd try a different method this time. ZERO points for creativity Sara!
