Pete, are you saying the bad guys from the Superman movies did it?
Please call the Arkansas Governor ASAP and let him know and show him your evidence so that he will grant the pardons and save me another 18 years of never shutting the fuck up about this injustice.
Kthnx!

Does anyone have some really good links to insight in this case? I really do want to read more about all the suspects and evidence and such? I was trying to tell my husband what I've read so far and got myself confused.
I also wonder since the guys took the deal it means that investigators will never pursue the truth right? So what will it take to convict the real killers if they are ever brought to light?
Can these guys clear their name legally after taking the deal? See I am so confused and I do feel very sad about it all. Can't believe I'm so in the dark on this case :-(

@Jerri Blank They only pleaded guilty to disallow them from suing the state for reparation and to get out of prison, this is so wrong, all the state of Arkansas cares about is if they have to pay them some big $$$, Id probobly plead guilty too but if they find who really did it, all of them have a case and entiteled to not only monetary compenasation but a pardon as well...
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one...

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/...20105950.shtmlWhen three men convicted of murdering three young boys were released from Arkansas prisons last month, it made headlines. This Saturday, "48 Hours Mystery" will air a comprehensive report on the case, including the first television interviews with two of the men known as the "West Memphis 3." Correspondent Erin Moriarty, who has been working this story for four years, offered a preview on "The Early Show."

Victim's mother still searching for closureVideo at link: http://www.wmctv.com/story/15745435/...phis-3-releaseThe mother of one of three 8-year-old boys murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas in 1993 spoke out Thursday for the first time since the release of the West Memphis Three.
"The only thing I want is justice," said Pam Hobbs.
Hobbs, mother of Stevie Branch, shared her feelings on the release of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley, who became known as the West Memphis Three.
"I said once those guys are out, there will be closure," said Hobbs. "But there is not."
[...]
"Did Damien, Jessie and Jason actually murder my child?" asked Hobbs.
Hobbs said she does not believe they did.
"My hope is that they will do whatever it takes to prove they are innocent and help me find who actually murdered my child," she said.
Hobbs said she plans to watch the third Paradise Lost documentary, "Purgatory."
"I don't know how to explain how I feel," said Hobbs.
She said she does not expect any surprises from the documentary because she has been following the case like the filmmakers.
I wonder if all the famous/power folks that pushed for the release are using that same effort to help THIS injustice. I suspect most are patting themselves on the back and have moved on to the next cause célèbre.

Peter Jackson and several others are still on board.
WM3 Supporters generally rock and there is no end in sight. The plan is to keep pushing and investigating until the guys are fully exonerated and THe real perp is brought to justice.

A freight train’s whistle sounds. Then a voice. “Nothing ever happens in West Memphis, Arkansas.” If only that were true.
For the past seven years, director Peter Jackson and his partner Fran Walsh have quietly financed investigations to help free Jason Baldwin, Jesse Misskelley Jr., and Damien Echols — a.k.a. the West Memphis Three — who were convicted in 1994 of murdering three 8-year-old boys in West Memphis, Ark. On Jan. 20, West of Memphis, the documentary Jackson and Walsh produced about their findings, will premiere at Sundance. Until then, Jackson has provided EW with an exclusive first look at the film’s trailer.
Back in August, Baldwin, Misskelley, and Echols were released after 18 years in prison, marking the culmination of a long campaign that began with the 1996 HBO doc Paradise Lost: The Child Killings at Robin Hood Hills. Now, Jackson and Walsh’s film (which was directed by Amy Berg and whose poster was exclusively revealed here yesterday) shows why they never should have been arrested in the first place. Says Echols, who is also a producer on the film, “When Peter and Fran came onto this case, that was the first time that I had the feeling of, ‘Okay, something is finally being done. Finally someone is looking out for me. Someone is trying to move this mountain.’”

http://www.wreg.com/news/wreg-wm3-ne...ory?hpt=ju_bn4(West Memphis, AR 2/28/2012) An anonymous donor has offered a $100,000 dollar reward for new information regarding the murders of three boys in West Memphis in 1993.

[...]
Stevie Branch, Christopher Byers and Michael Moore were all found brutally murdered.
Attorneys for Damien Echols will review all calls and verify any evidence presented.
Little Rock attorney Patrick Benca, said, "There are people in Arkansas who have information about who killed these three little boys and we encourage them to come forward now. I imagine that the investigators will have their work cut out for them on thins one. In 1993 the $40,000 reward offered by CrimeStoppers generated a plethora of bullshit that lead the case where it eventually ended up which was in the shit pile with 3 false convictions.

http://www.rewardstv.net/arkansas-st...ard/#more-3305Arkansas .Another anonymous donor has come forward and, as a result, Damien Echols’s defense team has doubled the amount of the reward to $200,000 to find the real killers of the three young boys in the West Memphis 3 case. The donors have chosen to remain anonymous and have placed a time limit on the reward offer. If no direct evidence emerges, the funds will be allocated toward further DNA and investigative efforts.
New Billboards will be posted to promote the $200,000 reward and encourage those with credible information to contact the confidential tip line as soon as possible. Attorneys for Damien Echols will review all calls and verify the information provided.
All credible evidence will be turned over to Scott Ellington, District Prosecutor, who has said that he will review evidence presented to him from Echols’s defense team.
Little Rock attorney Patrick Benca said, “We are encouraged by the response to the original reward offer and have received some very important leads as to who may have killed these three little boys – Chris Byers, Michael Moore and Steve Branch in May, 1993. Now that another supporter has stepped forward to pledge even more reward money, we feel confident that we will get to the bottom of this case. Those with information should not waste any time if they are interested in obtaining the reward money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. We are not looking for theories, but real information that can put the true criminal(s) behind bars.”
Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley were freed in August 2011, after serving eighteen years in the wrongful conviction murder of the three children in 1993. Their freedom was based upon a plea agreement in which, while maintaining their innocence, the three agreed to an Alford plea. They were released based upon time served. The three, men, who unequivocally claim they are innocent, nevertheless accepted the deal to get out of prison. They have vowed to continue to fight to seek justice in the case and want the real killers to be found.
Capi Peck, founder of Arkansas Take Action, said, “It is time that those who know who committed this terrible crime come forward and provide information that can put this stain on the Arkansas criminal justice system to rest. It is just the right thing to do now. We do not intend to stop until those responsible are brought to justice, and those who spent half their lives imprisoned are exonerated.”

The mother of one of three Cub Scouts brutally murdered 19 years ago sued the West Memphis Police Department on Friday, demanding permission to see the possessions her son had with him when he died.
Pam Hicks, mother of Steve Branch, filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit in Crittenden County Court. The suit asks a judge to allow her to see her son’s belongings, including his clothes and possibly a bicycle he was riding the day he was killed. Ken Swindle, Hicks’ attorney, says the lawsuit was filed after the department and the city attorney repeatedly denied her requests to see the evidence.Three men, known as the West Memphis Three, were convicted in the 8-year-old boys’ deaths, but were released from prison last year in a plea deal with prosecutors.
Hicks said the belongings are precious memories of her son. She has not asked for any property to be returned, only that she be allowed to view it, according to the lawsuit.

It won't be over till it's solved. Found this a few days ago.
http://wreg.com/2013/03/27/hearing-h...nce/?hpt=ju_c2Marion, AR) At a hearing held today regarding evidence in the West Memphis 3 murders, the names of several new possible suspects were released by attorneys for the mother of one of the victims.
Several documents were handed out naming new possible suspects in the 1993 murders of three 8-year-old boys.
One of those named is Terry Hobbs, her ex-husband and the stepfather of victim Stevie Branch.
Also on the lists David Jacoby, LG Hollingsworth and Buddy Lucas.
A witness says several years after the killings, Buddy Lucas admitted he and the three others took part in the murders.
The article is short; the real story is in the comments section. It's well-divided into "satanic teens really did kill the kids" and "they were, are now and always will be innocent and the PD, DA's office and the whole town is fucking ignorant and corrupt" camps. This one is not going away. I'm sorry I suck at writing stories.
