BONITA SPRINGS — A Bonita Springs man learned Wednesday that you shouldn’t answer the door naked, call a male deputy dear while using expletives and degrade the officer who was investigating a link between him and two teen-age girls who said he wanted them to have some “fun’ at his house.
Clifford N. Burk, 48, 27631 Playa Del Rey Lane, on Thursday remained in Lee County Jail pending posting of a $5,000 bond on a charge of resisting a law enforcement officer without violence.
According to a Lee County Sheriff’s Office report:
The girls walked past Burk’s house about 9 p.m. and he told the girls that he would like to have sex with them and watch their boyfriend have sex with them.
He also told the girls
“My wife left me and is in Ohio” and “I am Crazy Cliff.” He also attempted to get the girls to go into his house, saying:
“Come on in for some fun.”
The girls ran home and told the one girl’s father who called deputies. The teens said the man was older with a scruffy face and large belly and described his car — including the license plate number.
When deputies went to Burk’s house, he answered the door without a stitch of clothing on and began using expletives. One deputy said:
“Please put on some clothes.” Burk complied, but then began using expletives again, including calling the girls liars and used degrading words to describe them.
“At least I didn’t kill them,” he said to deputies.
It was then that deputies explained why they were there.
Burk attempted to twice grab one of the deputies and he was handcuffed. While being booked into jail, he continued his vulgar and disruptive behavior, authorities said.
The Sheriff’s Office sex crime unit is continuing the investigation into a possible sex crime.
