PLANO (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Police in Plano have confirmed that a special education teacher has been arrested on a charge of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.
Teacher Mariane Kieffer faces a charge of an improper relationship between an educator and student. According to arrest records, Kieffer allegedly got the teenager drunk and had sex with him several times at her home.
Kieffer works at Carpenter Middle School.
An affidavit further reveals that the boy claims to have started going to Kieffer's house around February of 2008. The teenager claims that one month after doing so, Kieffer asked him to have sex after they got drunk in her son's bedroom.
In the affidavit, the boy also claims Kieffer occasionally drove him to her house after school and that the two had sex between five and 10 times.
Monday afternoon the Plano Independent School District issued a statement that said, "Plano ISD has placed the employee on paid administrative leave."
Officials with the Plano Police Department say the investigation is ongoing.
According to state records, Kieffer was licensed as an educational aide in 1985, and then earned her teacher certification in special education in 2004.
