LAKE FOREST PARK, Wash. - A father and his son worked together as a team to lure girls to their home, where the father sexually assaulted the girls, according to charging documents filed in King County Superior Court.
Charges were filed against Victor Casarez Sr. and his son following a July 21 incident in which police were contacted by a 15-year-old Shoreline girl who says she was drugged, raped and photographed at Casarez's home, court documents say.
According to charging papers, the girl told police she'd met earlier in the day with Casarez's 18-year-old son, Victor Casarez Jr., whom she knew from school and considered a friend. They went to the Casarez's home, where the father and son lived together.
Prosecutors allege that Casarez gave the girl a glass of juice that the son later admitted had been spiked with a prescription sleeping pill, according to police.
After drinking from the glass, the girl lost consciousness and says she awoke hours later to find herself in a bed with the elder Casarez, who has a pot belly and is covered with hair, court documents say.
She said Casarez took off her clothes and began sexually assaulting her after she regained consciousness, taking "a lot of photographs" of the sex acts as they happened.
The girl told officers Casarez threatened to post the photos and a video on the Internet if she told anyone about the incident.
Police later recovered several photos apparently taken by Casarez or his son during the assault, according to court documents.
During the assault, the girl said she asked Casarez to get off her 20 times, but he refused, charging documents say.
As she left the home with the younger Casarez, the girl says the father gave her a bracelet, told her she was "special" and repeated his threat that he would post the items if she revealed the assault, according to charging papers.
The elder Casarez also told the girl he would buy her gifts and a car if she came back and let him repeat the sex acts, court papers say.
Despite Casarez's threats to post the photos, the girl contacted police after returning to her home.
Police later executed a search warrant at the Casarez home, where they found black lacy underwear belonging to the girl and numerous pornographic photographs of her. Casarez appeared in some of the photos as well.
When Casarez's son was interviewed by police, he admitted that he brought the girl to the home with the intent that his father would have sex with her.
The younger Casarez also stated he had brought at least three other girls over in the past, with his father doing the same thing, according to charging documents. Police say the younger man also admitted to slipping drugs into the girl's drink.
The father, who is currently on probation, faces counts of indecent liberties, third-degree child rape and sexual exploitation of a minor, and he is incarcerated at the King County jail.
He faces a life sentence as a persistent sex offender if convicted as charged. Prosecutors are seeking $1 million bail.
Casarez Jr. is charged with indecent liberties and possession of child pornography. He has not been jailed in the case.
