She can do such a heartless thing then smile and pose for pics.Didnt Dahmer start out catching and killing rabbits caught on his parents back property????I know humans and animals are totally diff but maybe this broads the Andrea Yates of animals??Im wondering how many more shes killed

I'm sorry, I wasn't as clear as I meant to be.
after seeing everyone post about how vicious rabbits can be, I understand.
In and of themselves I've not known rabbits to be vicious. Again, though...put together with other rabbits they will establish an order in the pack.
Towards humans? Domesticated rabbits couldn't be more docile. Even wild rabbits will run and never dream of attacking.
So vicious is a word I would never associate with a rabbit. I can see where a fight would happen in a small cage with 2 rabbits who are completely unfamiliar with one another, however. That's small turf to be fighting over.

Okay, Aslan, I'm trying to wrap my mind around this. Thanks.

I have no idea how rabbits act. But two or more rabbits in a small cage...there has to be alpha there somewhere.

They put rabbits together in a cage and pretty much walked away figuring 'a rabbit is a rabbit is a rabbit'.
This is not the case. Also, rabbits fighting one another can be pretty fierce. While they can't really do damage to humans, their back legs can do all sorts of noise to one another, especially in the jaw.
No matter where you look in the animal kingdom, you will pretty much be guaranteed to find an alpha.
Again, just a guess but I'm thinking the people in charge put a couple of incompatible rabbits together and came in the next day only to find the result of a showdown. Instead of having to actually explain it, hey I know. Let's drown them. We can always write it off as a couple of casualties. I'm sure it happens a lot.
Actually, the more I think about it I bet it happens a bunch. The only reason they were caught is because dumbwasteofskin and her facebook.
See, that's what is so wrong to me about this whole story--the pet store must have been extremely poorly run before this. I mean, they SHOULD have known that rabbits are territorial and whether they play well together or not. They didn't, and it's incompetent. I think that any pet store SHOULD be regulated to know about the lives that they sell. I think that it is a business that SHOULD be licensed with certain requirements of knowledge to earn the license.

I totally agree--I didn't mean to imply that bunnies are less important than more typical housepets. I just get distracted rather easily by my own thoughts and run off on tangents--which in this case was surprise at how vicious bunnies can be.

Once in a while I am happy that PETA has as much money and hysteria that they do, and this is one of them. I think that this behavior is atrocious. First of all the bitches should have been shut down long ago if they did not know about usual animal behavior and community requirements, or more likely they didn't care.

I've always thought that cruelty and callousness toward animals is a crime much more serious than it is right now. I'm not talking about hunting, or defending property against animals--those types of actions are in theory humane, and most people respect other creatures. It's much different to shoot a wild rabbit for food or extermination, and another to be posing in a happy and joking way as though you're proud of yourself for drowning a bunny that you've allowed to be hurt in the first place.

IMO anyone without regard for another life, or respect for another life, is a dangerous person who is likely to eventually harm another person, if they've not done so already.

I am baffled by anyone that takes pleasure out of killing any living creature. I know not everyone is like me and I respect the fact that some people do need to live off animal meat to survive and everyone has a personal choice in that regard.

But when you start taking life for sheer kicks and giggles then something is seriously wrong with said human (or monster as I would prefer to call them). I live on a very tiny island where crofting sustains most families here. The land isn't fertile enough for crops so it is who are the mainstay of most crofts here.I think they are cute and sweet and funny my neighbors think they are dinner. But I can honestly say they are treated well are culled humanly and overall have a fantastic life roaming about an island of fields with no restrictions. Oh an no one is taking pictures of culling to share with their mates for a great laugh!! Ughhh!

There is a huge difference between survival and killing to take a picture for facebook. This story has really enraged me and I hope this sick cunt gets what she deserves.

Oh and if it was a lizard or a rat or any other creature I would still feel the fucking same.
