Cornell McCrea threw a brick at preg lady

An Alexandria man was arrested Friday night after he and a woman who is eight-months pregnant got into a physical fight.


Cornell McCrea, 52, of 2830 Main St., Alexandria, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.


According to the Alexandria Police report, around 7:20 p.m. Friday McCrea and a 27-year-old woman started arguing at their Main Street home about McCrea being intoxicated. She said McCrea began threatening her so she picked up a brick hoping to scare him as she is eight-months pregnant and feared for her safety.


The woman told officers that McCrea took the brick from her and threw it at her hitting her in the stomach and left arm.


McCrea was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Jail.
