Man Dies Climbing Through Own Window

CUMBERLAND -- Police in Cumberland said a man died after getting stuck in a window of his own apartment.

City police said Monday that 55-year-old Carson Corum may have been locked outside his apartment and tried to climb in through the second-floor window.

Sgt. Charles Goldstrom said Corum appears to have died accidentally.

Police said a neighbor called Monday to report a pair of legs dangling from the window.

They said the legs apparently were visible Sunday, but the neighbor thought it was a prank and waited to call authorities.
Goldstrom said the state medical examiner's office in Baltimore will determine the cause of death.

OMG! What if he was still alive yesterday...just unconscious. I will be curious to see what the cause of death is.

that would suck. I thank my lucky stars that nothing like that happened when as a teen I often had to break into the house due me forgetting my house keys.

We had an elderly neighbor when I was a kid. Sometimes she would lock herself out. She would have me shinny through the kitchen window to let her back inside.
